Ran the Advertising and Marketing arm of MTV, Nickelodeon and Comedy Central. Later, moved over as Story Editor/Head Writer for Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, solving creative problems and making cartoons work for the network and the public. SELECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

ß Created a unique and winning campaign for a major prospective Grey Advertising client (The Pentagon’s Joint Recruitment Program) that every major Advertising Agency was vying for. Devised the slogan “You’re In Good Company.” Created a hard driving rock jingle that appealed to young volunteers. Using cutting edge special effects, the agency pitched and won, beating out 7 other major firms.

ß Wrote and produced an Ad Campaign and an on-air presence that helped create the Cable Channel “Nick at Nite” With a small budget that precluded a Billboard or TV and Radio Campaign, crafted a hilarious series of small space ads that ran in TV Guide. The reaction was ecstatic and Nick at Nite became the world’s preeminent hip rerun channel.

ß Developed a compelling new campaign and strategy for a newly minted comedy network on Cable TV that had no name and no identity. Wrote a Positioning Document that framed the content for the new network and created the name “Comedy Central.” Comedy Central is now the leading Comedy location on cable.

ß Revived the Hanna Barbera Cartoon Company after it was purchased by Ted Turner in the role as Vice President and Creative Director. In a team effort lured young cartoonists to participate in a ground-breaking “What a Cartoon “ series. 39 new cartoons were produced, backed with edgy contemporary full color posters, like the old movie posters. The company experienced a resurgence that carried over into the entire TV Animation industry.

ß Created and Produced at Nickelodeon 10 stand alone 7 minute cartoons and co-Created and Executive Produced the hit series “ChalkZone.” Composed the theme song and over 70 other songs and mini-musicals, oversaw and/or wrote all stories and supervised overall production.

Is currently creating a series of on-net promos as well as writing branding and positioning material for start-up Internet Content Company created by some of media’s heaviest hitters.

NICKELODEON/CARTOON NETWORK, BURBANK, CA 1996-2006
Co-Creator/ Executive Producer/Writer/Composer/Story Editor
• Supervised production of the “Oh Yeah, Cartoons” series and Executive Produced 40 half hour episodes of the “ChalkZone” Series. Wrote or edited all stories and composed the theme and over 70 songs.
• Created or co-created 10 cartoon shorts and supervised production
• Wrote the script, music and lyrics for a feature length animated adaptation of the classic Pied Piper story.
• Oversaw all stories, writing many and composing songs for Cartoon Network’s Cow and Chicken series

• Supervised and created all marketing and advertising material for major Hollywood studio.
• Responsibilities included TV ads and interstitials to print ads, trade ads and branded merchandise design.
